Housing Scheme “Renovate-Rent”

The Ministry of Interior hereby announces a Call for Applications for participation in the Housing Scheme “Renovate-Rent”.

The Scheme is part of the State’s Comprehensive Housing Policy and its specific goal of increasing the supply of affordable housing by integrating residential units into the rental market.

The objective of the Scheme is to integrate into the rental market residential units that are vacant, inactive, or in disuse, so that they can be made available for rent at an affordable price to individuals with moderate or low incomes, based on the income criteria set out in the Scheme. To achieve this goal, financial assistance will be provided in the form of grants to owners of existing vacant, inactive, or unused residential units for their renovation/upgrading.

Interested parties can obtain the Announcement and the Implementation Guide of the Scheme, which includes all the required information, the Application form for submitting a Proposal/Application and any other required forms or documents, from the Ministry of Interior’s website and from the Cyprus Land Development Corporation.

It is noted that applications from Potential Eligible Owners will be accepted from 15.11.2024 until 31.12.2025. Applications from Potential Eligible Tenants will be accepted from 15.01.2025 until 31.12.2025.

Applications, from the above dates until 31.12.2025, should be submitted through the electronic platform “Affordable Housing” (www.prositistegi.cy).

The relevant application forms must be submitted in the manner specified in the Announcement and Implementation Guide of the Scheme.
