The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Buenos Aires is relatively new, having been established in October 2023. The purpose of our Diplomatic Mission is to strengthen our relations with Argentina, but also with our other parallel accreditation countries (Peru, Paraguay and Chile). The objectives for our bilateral relations include a wide range of sectors, such as political, commercial, cultural, scientific and educational, particularly encouraging synergies between the two sides.

As an active member of the EU, we give particular importance to our participation in European Union projects carried out in the region, since the EU has significant common actions with Latin American countries in all sectors.

Finally, our Embassy wishes to identify and register Cypriot citizens (or citizens of Cypriot origin) who live in these countries, with the aim of jointly developing actions to promote Cyprus and its culture, thus maintaining the link that connects the former with their homeland.
