The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens was established in 1960, shortly after the Independence of Cyprus.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens is also accredited to the Republic of Albania and Georgia.
The Embassy’s main mission is to promote and further enhance political, economic, cultural and trade relations with Greece and the other countries of accreditation. Furthermore, the Embassy provides general information on Cyprus and offers consular services to Cypriot nationals visiting or living in Greece as well as to foreign citizens wishing to visit Cyprus.
