Press Release by the Deputy Ministry of Shipping of the Republic of Cyprus regarding the Cyprus Maritime Award 2025

The Deputy Ministry of Shipping of the Republic of Cyprus hereby announces that the “Cyprus Maritime Award”, a tradition established in 1993, will be awarded during the opening ceremony of the “Maritime Cyprus 2025” Conference, which will take place on the morning of Monday, 6 October 2025.
The “Cyprus Maritime Award” is presented in one of the following categories:
- The Cyprus Maritime Personality Award, or
- The Cyprus Shipping Industry Award.
This distinction is awarded every two years, during the “Maritime Cyprus” Conference, by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, either to an individual (“Cyprus Maritime Personality Award”) or to a legal person (“Cyprus Shipping Industry Award”).
The Selection Committee for the Cyprus Maritime Award 2025, as appointed by the Shipping Deputy Minister to the President, Ms Marina Hadjimanolis, is composed of the following members:

Nominations for the 2025 Award must be submitted to the Selection Committee via the Permanent Secretary of the Shipping Deputy Ministry, using the prescribed forms, between 25 July 2025 and 25 August 2025 (no later than 15.00).
The regulations are posted on the website of the Deputy Ministry of Shipping.
The call for applications for the Cyprus Maritime Award will be announced on 25 July 2025.
