The scheme aims to encourage employers to recruit people with chronic illnesses and is part of the active employment policies promoted by the government to combat poverty and social exclusion, in particular with regard to the active inclusion of vulnerable groups in the labor market. The scheme may be co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF+) and the Government of Cyprus.
