The scheme involves subsidising part of the salary costs of staff as an incentive for employers to hire unemployed people to work in various forms of telework. The scheme is included in the Recovery and Resilience Plan and is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, the central instrument of NextGenerationEU, the temporary instrument to finance the EU's recovery and exit from the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
