Apply for a birth grant

What this service does

You can apply for this grant if you have:

• Given birth within the past 12 months
• Paid contributions to Social Insurance

You do not need to be married to apply.

In case you do not have the required Social Insurance contributions, you can use your husband's contributions, who must also be the father of the child you are applying for.

You cannot have someone apply for this grant on your behalf.

The grant will be paid into a bank account, which must be:

• in your name – it can be a joint account
• in euros
