Apply for funeral grant
What this service does
You can apply for a Funeral grant if you have paid or are going to pay the expenses for a funeral.
The application must be submitted within one year of the date of death.
If the deceased was married, only the spouse can submit the application, provided they were living together. If not, the application can be submitted by whoever incurred the expenses.
What you’ll need to apply
- A CY Login account (formerly Ariadni). It needs to be authenticated
- Death certificate from the District Administration or from a competent authority in another country
- A confirmation stating that you have covered the funeral expenses
- IBAN certificate
If the deceased was married, separated or divorced, you will also need, as appropriate, a marriage, cohabitation or divorce certificate.
