The President of the Republic received a congratulatory message from the UN Secretary-General on the occasion of the anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Cyprus

The President of the Republic Mr Nikos Christodoulides has received a congratulatory message from the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Mr Antonio Guterres, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Cyprus.
In his message, the UN Secretary-General stated: “The United Nations joins in celebrating with the people of the Republic of Cyprus on this special day. This is a moment to remember the importance of advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, tackling the climate crisis, and expanding opportunity and hope for all.
Now is the time for solidarity and shared solutions to help deliver peace, sustainable development and human rights for all.
As we recognize this important day, let us pledge to build a better future for the people of the Republic of Cyprus and all those around the world.”
