The Migration Department of the Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection of the Republic of Cyprus announces that it is proceeding, on a pilot basis, with the implementation of the “Visitor – Course Enrolment” Programme.

The Programme is addressed to third-country nationals who wish to attend programmes of a duration exceeding four (4) months at Schools or Organisations approved by the Shipping Deputy Ministry or the Department of Civil Aviation. It constitutes a special temporary residence status that permits attendance at approved education providers which are not institutions of higher education, thereby addressing the existing gap for persons who do not meet the requirements for a student residence permit.

During the first year of implementation, a total intake of 200 permits is foreseen (100 per competent authority), which will be granted in order of application submission according to the date filed.

Applications are submitted at the Central Offices of the Migration Department in Lefkosia. The fees amount to €70 for the issuance/renewal of a temporary residence permit and €70 for first-time registration in the Aliens Register.

Further information, the MVIS8 Application and the Lists of Supporting Documents are available on the website of the Migration Department of the Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection of the Republic of Cyprus.
