Working visit of the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade to Cyprus

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Mr Péter Szijjártó, will pay a working visit to Cyprus on Tuesday, April 2nd, following an invitation by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Constantinos Kombos.
In the framework of the visit, the two Ministers will have a tête-à-tête meeting, followed by consultations in extended format with the participation of delegations from the two Ministries. Statements to the press will take place at the end of the consultations. Following the meeting, the Ministers will travel to the premises of the Embassy of Hungary in Lefkosia, where the Embassy’s inauguration ceremony will take place.
The discussions will focus on, among others, bilateral relations between Cyprus and Hungary, the Cyprus Problem, as well as the upcoming Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2024. The Ministers will also exchange views on current international issues, focusing on the situation in the Middle East and Ukraine.
During his visit to Cyprus, Mr Szijjártó will be received by the President of the Republic, Mr Nikos Christodoulides.
