The Minister of Foreign Affairs travels to Malta for the MED9 Ministerial Meeting

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Constantinos Kombos, departs today, Tuesday 12th September, for Malta where he will participate in the meeting of Ministers for European Affairs of the MED9 (Cyprus, Greece, Malta, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, and Slovenia).
The meeting will begin this evening, with a working dinner hosted by the Maltese Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Trade, Mr Ian Borg. Discussions will continue tomorrow and will mainly focus on the EU’s engagement with the countries of the Southern Neighbourhood. In this context, the Ministers will address the topics of peace and stability in the Mediterranean, sustainable economic growth, migration, and energy. They will also exchange views in relation to the revision of the Multiannual Financial Framework, as well as on the future structure and overall objectives of the MED9.
Minister Kombos returns to Cyprus tomorrow.
