The High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to Maldives presents his credentials

The New High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Maldives, based in New Delhi, Mr Evagoras Vryonides, presented on Monday, 23 June 2025, his credentials to the President of the country, H.E. Dr Mohamed Muizzu, at an official ceremony held at the President’s Office in Malé.
During the ceremony, the High Commissioner conveyed to President Muizzu the warm greetings of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, the Government, and the people of Cyprus.
The High Commissioner had a short meeting with President Muizzu, during which the High Commissioner expressed Cyprus’ gratitude for the firm support of Maldives to the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus. Mr Vryonides and Dr Muizzu also discussed issues of mutual interests, including trade, tourism, and the expansion of educational cooperation, and expressed hope for further strengthening of cooperation in the healthcare sector.
