The High Commissioner of Cyprus to Ghana presents her credentials

The High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Ghana, with residence in Cairo, Ms Polly Ioannou, presented her credentials to the President of Ghana, Mr Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, during an official ceremony held on Friday, 23 February 2024, at Jubilee House in Accra.

High Commissioner Ioannou conveyed to the President of Ghana the warm greetings of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, together with his wishes for peace and prosperity for the people of Ghana. At the same time, she expressed her commitment to work towards strengthening the relations and cooperation between the two countries, both bilaterally and within the framework of European Union – Ghana relations.

Welcoming the new High Commissioner of Cyprus, President Akufo-Addo wished her every success in her new duties and underlined that he personally as well as his government will support her in her work with a view to furthering strengthening the relations between the two countries. The President of Ghana asked Ms Ioannou to convey to President Christodoulides his heartfelt greetings and wishes for the progress and prosperity of the people of Cyprus.
