The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the United Arab Emirates presented her credentials

The new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mrs Meropi Christofi, presented her credentials to the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in an official ceremony held on 4 October 2023 at the Qasr Al Watan Palace.
In a conversation with the UAE President, the new Ambassador conveyed the warm greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr Nikos Christodoulides. Ambassador Christofi also conveyed an invitation for the UAE President to pay an official visit to Cyprus, and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to work towards further strengthening the already excellent bilateral relations between Cyprus and the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed confirmed the acceptance of the invitation and noted that there is great scope for further strengthening the bilateral relations, underlining his personal wish to intensify the cooperation between the two countries in this regard.
