The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Paraguay presents his credentials

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Paraguay, with residence in Buenos Aires, Mr Stelios Georgiades, presented his credentials to President Santiago Peña Palacios, in an official ceremony held on 26 November 2024 at Palacio de Gobierno in Asunción, in the presence of the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Víctor Alfredo Verdún Bitar.

Ambassador Georgiades conveyed the warm greetings of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, and expressed his commitment to work for the enhancement of bilateral relations between the Republic of Cyprus and the Republic of Paraguay. He also referred to the latest developments in the Cyprus Question, expressing gratitude on behalf of the Government and the people of Cyprus for the longstanding participation of the Paraguayan regiment in UNFICYP.
