The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Indonesia presented his credentials

The new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Indonesia, Mr Nikos Panayiotou, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr Joko Widodo, at a ceremony held at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on October 23rd 2023.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Panayiotou conveyed the heartfelt greetings and personal commitment of the President of the Republic, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, to further deepen the relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Panayiotou referred to the reopening of the Embassy of Cyprus in Jakarta, pointing out that it constitutes a tangible sign of the importance that Cyprus attaches to its relations with Indonesia. While referring to the historical ties between the two countries, Ambassador Panayiotou underlined his commitment to further expand this relationship.
President Widodo wished the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus every success in his mission. In this regard, he assured the Ambassador that he will have his own as well as his Government’s full support, for the benefit of relations between the two countries.
