The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Nepal presents his credentials

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Nepal, with residence in New Delhi, Mr Evagoras Vryonides, presented his credentials to the President of Nepal, Mr Ramchandra Paudel, in an official ceremony held on 13 May 2024 in Kathmandu.

Presenting his credentials, Ambassador Vryonides conveyed to President Paudel the warm greetings of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, and of the people of Cyprus, as well as expressing gratitude for Nepal’s consistent support in the Cyprus problem. Moreover, he conveyed Cyprus’ commitment to further strengthen relations with Nepal in areas of mutual interest in both the bilateral and multilateral context.

During his stay in Kathmandu, Ambassador Vryonides called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Mr Narayan Kaji Shrestha, and met with the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms Sewa Lamsal. He also had a meeting with the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Mr Dol Prasad Aryal.

During the meetings, discussion focused on bilateral issues including trade, energy, education, culture, tourism, and employment, with Ambassador Vryonides expressing his commitment to do his utmost to further enhance the bilateral ties between the two countries in these areas.
