The Ambassador of Cyprus to Romania presented his credentials

In a ceremony at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace on Tuesday, 8 July 2025, Mr Pericles Demetriou Stivaros presented his credentials to the President of Romania, Mr Nicusor Dan, as the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Romania.
During a private meeting, the Ambassador conveyed the heartfelt greetings and warm wishes of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nikos Christodoulides towards President Dan and the people of Romania. President Dan, expressing warm wishes in return, reiterated Romania’s political support to Cyprus and spoke with fervour about Cyprus and the great importance for Romania of the mark of 65 years of diplomatic relations in 2025 and the longstanding friendship of the two countries, which is expressed through a constantly strengthened multi-level relationship and cooperation, bilaterally as well as European Union partners.
