The Ambassador of Cyprus to Qatar presented his credentials
19/09/24 15:16 | Press release | Foreign PolicyThe new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the State of Qatar, Mr Andreas Nikolaides, presented his credentials to Η.Η. the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in an official ceremony held on 11 September in the Palace in Doha.
During a courtesy meeting that followed, Ambassador Nikolaides conveyed to H.H. the Amir the warm greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, expressing the readiness of Cyprus to further enhance relations with Qatar in all sectors and to strengthen cooperation in several fields, including investments, energy (LNG and RES), tourism, culture, museums, higher education and people-people contacts.
On his part, H.H. the Amir conveyed his warm greetings to President Christodoulides, underlining his country’s will and determination to further develop and expand relations with Cyprus.
The intensification of high-level contacts including at the highest level, as well as regional developments, were also discussed.
