Official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt to Cyprus

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Mr Sameh Shoukry, will pay an official visit to Cyprus on Thursday, 8 February 2024, following an invitation by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Constantinos Kombos.

During the visit, Minister Kombos will hold a tête-à-tête meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, followed by consultations in extended format with the participation of delegations from the two Ministries. Press statements will take place at the end of the consultations. Afterwards, Minister Kombos will host his counterpart to a working lunch.

Discussions will focus, inter alia, on bilateral relations between Cyprus and Egypt and the ways of further deepening the cooperation between the two countries, the latest developments in the Cyprus Question, as well as regional developments with a focus on the situation in the Middle East.

During his stay, Mr Shoukry will be received by the President of the Republic, Mr Nikos Christodoulides.
