Announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus regarding travel advice for Lebanon

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus is closely monitoring the worsening situation in Lebanon, and notes that the security situation in the country can deteriorate further without warning.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to advise Cypriot nationals to avoid all travel to Lebanon and, those who wish to depart from Lebanon are strongly encouraged to take advantage of available commercial flights.
Furthermore, Cypriot citizens in Lebanon are advised to avoid all gatherings and demonstrations, remain vigilant and follow instructions of local authorities. They are also advised to closely follow the developments and information from the international and local media, avoid unnecessary movements and apply maximum security measures.
