Press release by the Ministry of Energy regarding the “Aphrodite” natural gas field

The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry received today, Friday December 1st 2023, a letter from Chevron, operator of the “Aphrodite” natural gas field, in response to the points included in the Ministry’s letter, dated November 20th 2023. In its letter, Chevron confirms the parties’ alignment regarding the wider framework of the field’s exploitation.
As such, with the common understanding that has now been reached, the parties are intensifying discussions in the coming weeks, on the basis of the agreed Development and Production Plan, for the mutually beneficial exploitation of the natural gas reserves at “Aphrodite”.
