The Department of Antiquities of the Deputy Ministry of Culture announces that today, Thursday, 24 July 2025, the Archaeological Sites of Kourion, the Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates, and Kolossi Castle will remain closed to the public. This is a precautionary measure, taken due to the severe wildfire that has affected the area of Lemesos. The extremely bad air quality, the high temperatures, and the risk of the fires reigniting in some areas constitute threats to the safety of visitors.
