Announcement by the Department of Antiquities regarding the upgrading works at the Visitor Centre of the archaeological site of Kourion

The Department of Antiquities of the Deputy Ministry of Culture, in reference to its previous press release on 15/5/2025 for the temporary closing of the Visitor Centre of the archaeological site of Kourion, due to conservation and upgrading works of the building (from 1/6/2025 to 31/12/2025), would like to reassure the public that the archaeological site will remain open to visitors. In addition, all the necessary precautionary measures have been taken so that all the events scheduled at the Kourion ancient theatre shall not to be affected.
Services such as sanitary facilities, vending machines, and an information desk will be provided in special installations within the archaeological site.
The Visitor Centre shop will remain closed.
The Department apologises once again for any inconvenience caused.
