14th International Short Film Festival of Cyprus wraps up a week of pure cinema magic this Friday

One of the most exciting weeks for film lovers in Cyprus comes to an end, with the 14th International Short Film Festival of Cyprus all set for its closing ceremony and this year’s highly anticipated awards.
The hugely successful programme of screenings, events, and networking opportunities wraps up on Friday, October 18th. The final slot of screenings starts at 8 p.m. at Rialto Theatre, followed by the awards ceremony and a closing party in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Culture, who will award the 1st prize of the Festival.
The jury will present awards in both the International and National Competition.
International Competition Section
1st Prize for Best Short Film
2nd Prize for Best Short Film
Best Director Award
Best Documentary Award
National Competition Section
1st Prize for Best Cypriot Short Film
2nd Prize for Best Cypriot Short Film
Best Director Award “Dinos Katsourides”
Best Cinematography Award
Best Performance Award
and up to 3 Honorary Distinctions in each Section.
Also, the Best Music Video Award will be presented by the Student Jury of the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts (CUT).
Date: Friday, October 18th, 2024
Time: 8:00 p.m., followed by awards and closing party
Location: Rialto Theatre (for screenings), Heroes Square (for the party)
Screenings are suitable for 18+.
All films are screened in their original language with English and Greek subtitles.
