Submission to the Committee of Experts of the Council of Europe of Written Comments of the Republic of Cyprus in the context of its sixth evaluation cycle on the implementation of the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities

The Law Commissioner has transmitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the written comments by the Republic of Cyprus on the Sixth Report of the Committee of Experts of the Council of Europe in the context of the Sixth Assessment Cycle on the implementation of the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities, for submission, through the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Cyprus in Strasbourg, to the competent Secretariat of the Council of Europe within the prescribed deadline of 12 May 2025.

The text was prepared by the Ministry of Interior as the competent authority for the purposes of the Framework Convention, in cooperation with the Office of the Law Commissioner, following an evaluation of the comments submitted by the relevant Ministries and/or Government Services to which it was communicated.

The Law Commissioner expresses sincere appreciation to the Ministry of the Interior for its valuable contribution and collaboration in the preparation of the text, as well as to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its continued cooperation.
