“You’ve got one… Last Chance!”

The Department of Meteorology in collaboration with the Press and Information Office (PIO) proceeded to the print of the comic book: “You’ve got one… Last Chance!”

The comic was created by students of Agios Vasileios (Strovolos) High School, under the European program of Erasmus+: ClimART 2.0: Innovative Methodologies for Learning Climate Change through Arts and Comics. Its publishing, printing and distribution rights have been granted to the Department by Agios Vasileios (Strovolos) High School.

The Department of Meteorology believes that the students’ creation will be an excellent aid for the purpose of raising awareness about climate change and will distribute it free of charge as informational material to students of the Primary and the First Cycle of Secondary School.

The story and plot of the comic book take place in Cyprus, in well-known to everyone locations, such as the Larnaka Salt Lake, but also in neighbouring Mediterranean countries. With its main characters coming from our country (such as the black flamingo) it easily attracts the interest of all ages. Despite its simplicity in writing, it is scientifically consistent with many implications and symbolisms.

The comic book is available in both Greek and English versions.
