Navtex for the marine protected area of Larnaka: Diving and Vessel Passage at Lambousa II

The Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (DFMR) would like to inform the public that for safety purposes and until all works are finalised for the preparation and sinking, as well as the final acceptance of the vessel Lambousa II, a NAVTEX has been issued within the Marine Protected Area of Larnaka, in Voroklini, which will be in effect from Thursday, 13/02/25, at 16:00, until Monday, 17/02/25, at 16:00.
For this reason, based on the relevant NAVTEX, during the above period, diving will be prohibited at the coordinates 34°57.750’N, 33°41.244’E (Lambousa II), as well as the passage of vessels within a radius of 100 meters from the anchoring and sinking point of the aforementioned vessel.
