“Aspros potamos (state forest boundaries) – Toxeftra” forest road in Akamas National Forest Park, remains closed

The Department of Forests of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment informs the public that “Aspros Potamos (state Forest boundaries) – Toxeftra” forest road in Akamas National Forest Park, will remain closed due to the improvement works of the road network.

The public is requested, in order to avoid any inconvenience but also for safety reasons, to avoid using the road mentioned above and to use the roads leading to the Park from Ineia, Arodes and Kathikas (yellow colour on the attached map). In particular, those who plan to visit Lara can use the “Ineia-Lara” road and those who plan to visit Avakas can use the “Pano Arodes-Avakas” road.

Land owners, farmers, breeders and other professionals operating in the area can use the road “Pegeia-St. Matrona-Avakas” (green colour on the attached map).

The Department of Forests apologizes for any inconvenience caused to the public and will issue a new announcement, when the reconstruction works will be completed and the road will be suitable for use.
