11/08/23 13:06 | Press release | Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment
Consumers are urged to implement basic water saving measures
The Water Development Department informs the public that there has been an extreme increase in demand for drinking water in the past days. Furthermore, the movement of population from large urban centres to coastal areas may render water supply in some areas difficult. Consumers are therefore urged to avoid irrational water use and to implement basic water saving measures.
The Water Development Department is utilising all of its available resources in an effort to meet the increased demand.
