Who we are

Culture has now acquired its own state entity. An entity with an independent, flexible and autonomous administrative structure, which will be dedicated to the promotion of the culture of Cyprus, our cultural heritage as well as our Modern and Contemporary Culture. The policy and strategic plans of the Deputy Ministry of Culture are highly human-centered, and focus on the creators and producers of Culture and cultural industry itself.

The establishment of the Deputy Ministry of Culture practically declares the alignment of our country with the modern concept that considers culture as the new “Soft Power” equal to diplomacy, the economy and the power of defense equipment. This power will be utilized by the Deputy Ministry. This is our main weapon in cultural diplomacy, attracting investment and human capital, creating new jobs, developing quality tourism, but above all creating and consolidating a strong image for our country with all the benefits.
